            YouTube is a very popular site to view billions of videos on different topics! There are videos about makeup, pets, discussing serious topics, comical videos and many, many more topics. You are essentially able to find videos about everything, any genre, language, culture or even religion! YouTube is an international website; you are able to use YouTube anywhere around the world.  By making an account it is very easy to subscribe or in other words follow other accounts every move! You are able to be updated on the videos they post and watch them whenever you wish to. YouTube has no limit; you can use it as much as you want with internet connection.

            YouTube is very educational as you can learn about so many different things. You can see people’s talents whether that being playing music, singing, cooking, makeup artists and etc. After making a YouTube account you are able to post videos as well. This is great for someone who wants to share things about their lives. On YouTube, you are able to like and comment on videos. This is great as others can benefit from comments; unfortunately there are many negative comments as well. This is a huge problem on YouTube as many problems occur from rude people. Watching and using YouTube is completely free! YouTube can also be used on mobile devices. YouTube can essentially be used as a TV! There are so many TV episode and movies that views are able to view.

Personal Opinion:

            I am always on YouTube! It doesn’t matter if I am on YouTube watching a film or learning how to make pizza! You can benefit from YouTube in so many ways. I have friends who have learned to cook, use makeup and even learn new languages from this phenomenal site! You can view tons of videos each day and expand your knowledge about the world. YouTube has helped me so much when it comes to school. There are millions of videos of teachers or professionals teaching subjects such as math, all the sciences, history, English and any other subject you can think of. Last semester when I had physics, I used to watch YouTube videos and learn more about the topics we were learning in class. On the other hand, YouTube can sometimes be very distracting in my life as well. However, I believe YouTube has many benefits and everyone who is not using this website, should start immediately!

           CamWow is an app that allows its users to edit and take pictures. So if you enjoy both of those two things, continue reading to find out more about this great app! You are able to distort, fatten and pinch your camera with filters similar to Photo Booths. You are able to see the effects applied live before take the picture. It is well matched with iPhone 3Gs, iphone 4s, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4^th generation) and even iPads. 

More Information:

            CamWow take the input from the camera and applies different effects with the pictures being saved. This app installs really quickly and is very easy to use. When you are taking a picture the screen shows the image in one of the four panes of your camera and also the effects applied in the other three panes. There are many different effects, anywhere from subtle changes to very dramatic changes. This app is FREE and compared to other apps that are costly, this app is amazing. The users of CamWow are all very satisfied; however some wish it had many more effects. On the other hand, CamWow has some effects that other editing apps do not. This learning tool was created simple so photos can be edited and its users can feel completely satisfied with the pictures they take.

Personal Opinion:

I love to take pictures and edit them so this app is one of my favorites. I feel like this app has so many great effects and filters and they are really easy to use. I also am very fond of the fact that the app is free! I don’t need to worry about investing anything and yet still having great pictures. I really love to take pictures of beautiful scenery and this app has allowed me to do that time and time again. The effects it has improves my pictures a whole lot! I always love the silly effects it has, its great to sometimes let loose and have a good time. This app allows you to always have good memories of good times and the editing option just makes it 100x better!

   It is an American provider of on-demand internet streaming media which is available in countries such as South and Noth America, the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and many more. For only $7.99 a month, Netflix users are able to watch unlimited movies and TV episodes over the internet to a TV via a PS3, wii, xbox 360! Netflix users are able to watch as much as they want, anytime and anywhere where the yahve internet! The company was established in 1997 in Los Gatos, California. As of mid-March 2013, Netflix has 33 million users!

You are able to try Netflix for free for a month and cancel anytime you are not completely satisfied. If you are satisfied with Netflix you don’t have to do anything, you will automatically become a member for however long you want to be. Lots of people use and love Netflix simply for its convenience! This is because they can enjoy picture perfect TV shows and movies without having to leave their home. They can enjoy watching whatever they wish on the computer, tvs or other devices. You can access Netflix on Ipads, iPhone as well as any other Android or Windows phone or tablet. You can download the FREE Netflix application from the app store. Users of Netflix are also very fond of the speed as it is very fast. Movies and TV episodes start playing in seconds! Another great thing about Netflix is there are no commercials and you are able to pause, rewind and fast-forward as well.

Personal Opinion:

I personally don’t have a Netflix account but I am very interested in trying it for the first time. I love to watch movies and I am always updated on many TV shows. I feel like getting a Netflix account will make my life so much more relaxing and enjoyable. I hate waiting for videos to buffer on the computer and trying to find good quality videos. I know with Netflix that headache will be gone. I also love how it’s unlimited and you don’t have to worry about going over a limit. I think for $7.99 it is a good investment for someone like me. I feel like making a Netflix account will also be very good for my family and I as we can all enjoy a nice film and be together after a long and stressful day!

The kicks you obtain can be used at anytime and you can treat yourself with a free latte at Starbucks, gift cards at many stores, iTunes song downloads, even designed merchandise and trips. Lots of people love this app as they are able to get many bonuses such as discounts and even coupons by simply visiting stores they love. This learning took is accessible to everyone who owns a computer and it is also available in smartphones.                  I really love this app because i love to shop. This app is amazing because you have nothing to loose and everything to gain by downloading this app. I love how you can receive many cool coupons, I mean who doesn't love to save money here and there? I love earning kicks and then later treating myself with something I love! I also love how this app is very simple to use, there are no complications. It is really great that you receive points while being at home and shopping online. This is great because sometimes I am too busy to actually go to a mall and shop. It is more convenient to stay home, shop online and at the same time obtain kick points!

            It is an application that identifies music by humming, singing or playing a recorded track. SoundHound was first launched by Melodis Comportaion by Keyvan Mohajer in 2007. It was then funded by Global Catalyst Partners, TransLink Capital and Walden Venture Caporal. This app is available in mobile services but it is commonly used on the iPhone and Androrids. This app can be downloaded on the Apple App store, Google Play and Windows Market Place for Mobile.

           More Information:

            Many people compare SoundHound to Shazam and most prefer this app to it. This is because SoundHound is just more affective and is able to recognize music in a variety of different ways. This app can detect music not only by humming, singing or playing the song but it can also detect the song by speaking or even recording. This app also shows the lyrics of the songs along with links of the song that can be found on Youtube, Itunes and more. This app is 100% free but there are versions of SoundHound that are not free. The one that is not free is called SoundHound infinity and is $6.99 USD.

Personal Opinion:

I like this app and prefer it to any other type of app that detects music. This is only because there are so many ways this app can pick up music and it is the most efficient and convenient as well. This app is the only app that can recognize singing and humming. It also has a feature by Live Lyrics which allows its users to see the lyrics of the songs with the music. This app also allows its users to be updated on Facebook and Twitter. I am updated with my most favorite artists which I always love.

This is great for people who miss how music was a while back and just want to rewind and have some great memories come back. Users of this app are also able to find playlists based on their favorite artists, songs and even genres. The choice is 100% up them; this is one of the reasons why so many people love this app. They are able to listen to music the way they want to and at whatever time of the day. After making an account on Songza you are also able to add friends and see the type of playlists they are listening to. This may allow you to listen to music you would never consider listening for yourself and who knows you may just fall in love with a song in the process. I am somebody who isn’t a big fan of music; I don’t listen to it on a regular basis. However, there are some genres that really grab my attention and I completely fall in love it. This is the reason why I love Songza so much because I am a very picky person when it comes to music and Songza knows so! It works around my preferences and the types of emotions I am feeling at different times of the day. This is great as it saves me the trouble of trying to find songs that I can really connect to and enjoy.

           Snapchat is best described as a photo messaging application. Snapchat allows its users to not only take pictures but also add text or drawings to the pictures. This application also allows its users to record videos! This amazing application was developed by four students in the University of Stanford.  This application is available on apple devices such as iPhone, iPod and iPad. In order to use this app you must download it from the Apple App store! 

                      More Information:

           What makes this app very fun and unique is the fact that the users set a time limit for how long the other person is allowed to view the picture. The time limit goes up to 10 seconds. The receiver of the photo is also not allowed to save the picture as they are only able to see it for a very short amount of time.After the picture is sent, an email will be sent to the person who sent the picture reassuring them that the picture was seen and also deleted. However, it is possible for the viewer of the picture to take a screen shot of the picture. In that case, a notification will be sent to notify you that the picture has been saved. After that it is up to you on what actions you wish to take. Nevertheless, the main purpose of this application was for the receivers of the pictures to only see it for a while and it makes it more thrilling and fun. It’s more fun because you are able to make a goofy face and don’t have to worry about the other person having that picture of you forever. This app is 100% free. The users of this app really like it as it’s a very silly app. You are able to let loose and just have some fun! I think the users also really enjoy this app because it’s very unique and different!

                      

              Personal Opinion:

 I really like this app because I feel like its very fun .The whole concept of only seeing the picture for a couple of seconds definitely has a thrilling factor! I use this app whenever I am bored and need some entertainment! However, there are also some concerns for this app. Some people believe that this app may allow its users to sent inappropriate pictures and no will see it except the person who it is sent to. Also, the picture is deleted and never seen again. This is a problem but I feel like the positives outweigh the negatives! However, if there are more scenarios and cases where this app is misused then maybe it is best for it to be stopped. For right now, I recommend anyone who likes taking pictures to download this app and start using it safely and most importantly have fun with it! So have fun but be safe and start using this amazing application today!

It is an app that allows you to take and edit pictures It edits in an amazing way, this app transforms simple pictures into astonishing photography.  This app is great for people who love photography as a hobby because they can get a really good feel of what real photography is like.

            With Simply HDR one picture is needed in order for dramatic and astounding changes to me made! There are 5 HDR styles and those include: High Dynamic Range, Black and White HDR, Contrasted HDR, Shadows and Lights and finally Contrasted Light. This app also includes color and gradient filters which give the picture an extra touch! It also has a vintage slider which gives the users of this app to have full control of darkening edges of the picture and much more. It also has a “Smoothing Brush” that corrects blemishes in the pictures. This learning tool is free which is very amazing for what it has to offer! People seem to really love this app as they are able to get better quality pictures and sharpen their photography skills! Simply HDR is only available for Smart phone, Ipad and Mac owners and users. This app takes advantage of social media because the pictures that are edited can be shared on social networking cites such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and more!

 I really enjoy using this app as I love taking pictures! I love learning about new ways of editing pictures and Simply HDR has so many editing options that I can choose from. I feel like this app is great for anyone who likes photography and it can help them learn more about it as well. This app is great for day to day activities or even amazing trips that are worth being remembered! This app just adds a “wow” factor to pictures that  make it go from ordinary to extraordinary pictures!

This learning tool is 100% free! This app also has many features; it allows its users to have personal profiles which include details from their age to where they are from. TextPlus also has privacy setting, group messaging (Text-Based chat room) and also search controls. What this means is that they can make themselves unseen from searches. People really seem to enjoy texPlus as everyone loves communicating through texts and this allows just that to happen with a bonus of no cost. People seem to really like the fact that it’s free because they can text without having a texting plan and even iPod users can use this app and text! This app is also very keen on safety as they always wish for their users to feel safe and secure while using textPlus. You are able to report harassment, bullying, nudity, threatened violence and this will result in suspension of the other user inflicting this kind of unacceptable behavior.

                Personal Opinion

I love textPlus because I love communicating with my friends through texting. I love this app because I don’t need to worry about having a texting plan or even a phone. I am able to communicate with my family in places like Germany and Dubai.  I find that so amazing and much more convient than always having conversations through phone calls. This app is an a amazing form of communication and everyone should get this app!

Isn’t even more aggravating not knowing the exact time when these vehicle will arrive?  Well I have the perfect app for you! When you download the “Rocket Man” app you will get the exact arrival times for these vehicles and you will also locate where they are on Google maps. This app is actually the first and only app in iPhones/iPads that provides you with real arrival times for TTC buses and streetcar locations!

This app is free! Which makes it even more appealing because who doesn’t want something that is free and at the same time has the ability to simply life. Rocket Man can be used with wi-fi connections on your phones! This app is very straightforward as it detects when buses/streetcars arrive and it shows us how far it is from our location. This app allows us to stop wasting valuable time and it helps us plan the day more efficiently. Everyone really seems to love this app because it’s a new idea. It’s as if everyone has been looking for something like this and this app allows them to receive exactly what they have been searching for.  So quit looking out your window to see if the bus is coming and start looking at this app on your phone!

Personal Opinion:

This app has personally affected my life is many positive ways. I am able to plan ahead and not wait. I am not the most patient person and it personally makes me so angry spending so much time at the bus stop. I hate everything about it. I don’t like waiting and I most certainly don’t like thinking about when the bus will come. This app has been given me a piece of mind! I am able to know exactly when my next bus/streetcar will come and it

            I really love this app as I am always curious about the weather. I am someone who likes to plan their days and make sure that the weather does not interrupt them! I always like to be prepared for what is to come and this app definitely helps me with that. This application helps simplify a lot of situations and is purely beneficial. For example if you are at school and before leaving you want to see how the weather is, this app is the perfect for that situation. I also love how you can see what the weather is like in different cities sometimes I am curious to see what the weather is like in other cities other than where I live. This comes in handy especially if you are going to a place you have never been and don’t really know what to expect from the weather. This app is a really amazing one and people should definitely download it and see how it positively improves their daily lives and activities.

Skype is a way to communicate with people through text, voice and video. It makes it very simple to share information to those who are not with you.  It’s a very convenient method of communicating as all you really need in the internet and the quality of Skype is amazing! It’s also very cheap compare to buying calling cards that only lasts for a couple of minutes whereas you can communicate with people oversea through Skype for endless of hours. Personal Opinion:

It has become the most popular mobile photo app to download.

            Anyone who owns an IPhone, IPad or iPod Touch is able to use Instagram and explore their creativity or even improve their photography skills! It is a photo app and is available for free from the iTunes App store and from Google Play. On the downfall, this app is only available for Apple and Android devices. Unfortunately, you are unable to download a trial version to help you evaluate this software but it is possible to download the app and delete it if you are not satisfied.  After this app is downloaded, it allows you to take pictures through your camera. After the picture is shared you are able to change the look of the whole picture. Instagram has many filters such as Amaro, 1977, Kelvin, Nashville and the list can go on and on. You are also able to follow anyone else who uses Instagram and you are also able to comment or like their pictures.

Personal Opinion:

            I have never thought of myself as someone who likes to take pictures but through this app I have definitely found the more creative side of myself. It has allowed me to love photography much more than I did before using Instagram. Will I continue using this amazing app? Why, yes! It’s taught me so much and I really love taking pictures of my favorite moments of the day and sharing it with the people I love. I feel like it was definitely worth my time to try and use this app because I have discovered a side of myself I never knew I had. I would recommend this app to anyone who likes taking pictures and even if they don’t they may learn to love it, just like I have. This technology is not very hard to understand or use. After using it for a couple of days, you will understand Instragram completely.

Twitter has become a very popular place as it is, one of the ten most visited websites on the internet.

Fortunately, twitter is absolutely free! Additionally, there are lots of different amazing features that make twitter so appealing to the millions of users of this cite. Twitter allows you to interact with your friends by simply replying or commenting to their tweets and even direct messaging them! Everybody wants privacy and twitter can definitely provide you with that if wanted. You are able to set your profile so only the people you want can access your account and read your tweets. Through twitter you are able to follow as many twitter accounts as you wish. You can follow anyone from your friends to your favorite celebrities! Twitter is a relatively easy technology to understand and fully grasp. Of course, it takes a couple of days to get to used to all the different features. For example how to follow other twitter accounts, how to tweet other people and where to go to see if you are "mentioned" in any of the tweets your followers make. However, after a couple of days of familiarizing yourself with the site you will be pro at it!

Personal Opinion:

Twitter is one of my favorite social networking cites, I like to visit this website to be updated on my peers, families and beloved celebrities. What I love about twitter is that it is accessible to anyone who has access to the internet. You don't need a phone, I-pod or anything like that a plain old computer and internet connection will do! I feel like twitter benefits students as it allows everyone to be united as one. This technology engages people of all ages because it is somewhere where everyone can communicate and be 100% updated on the lives of the people we love. I feel like as I grow older twitter will definitely improve and become an even better social networking site. It will probably offer many new features and I cannot wait to see how it changes as time goes on! It is an amazing way to share pictures, communicate with friends and share personal posts. Making a Facebook account is very simple and it is absolutely free.  Facebook is recommended for people who are 14+, however it has definitely caught the attention of all age groups!  It is probably targeted to teenagers, because teenage years are now always  associated with the internet and social networking sites.

I personally believe Facebook makes life simpler in many ways. Its very easy to always be connected with family and friends through sharing photographs of amazing memories and having simple and meaningful conversation on Facebook chat. There are reminders on facebook such as important events and birthdays that are sometimes really easy to forget. I love Facebook, I  spend lots of time on this website. This is mostly because I enjoy being in contact with my friends and sharing things that are important to me in life.
